Located on Niels Hemmingsens Gade in the center of Copenhagen, the pied-à-terre by Fil De Fer x Aiayu focused on sustainability, craftsmanship and designs that endure over time. Fil De Fer’s handpicked vintage from France was styled with Aiayu’s textiles produced sustainably in Bolivia, India and Nepal – merging old and new, and memories of places near and far.
In an increasingly throwaway world, the exhibit brought focus on long-lasting quality and craftsmanship, highlighting ways to mix vintage and timeless styles to create a personal space.
“It is just not sustainable for our world to continue to consume as we do today and have done over the last few decades. So, furnishing our homes with good quality vintage and sustainably made products with a low carbon footprint is the way forward. Moreover, just stunning looks are not enough – history and a little bit of magic is necessary to make a place truly beautiful. Aiayu and Fil De Fer share a passion for design of good quality. We hope our pied-à-terre collaboration will be an inspiration for people who want unique, personal and quality items that last over time.”
