Sille Slipover - Knitting Pattern by PetiteKnit

The knitting pattern is PetiteKnit's translation of one of our special knit designs - a soft slipover with an intricate knit and purl structure pattern, worked from the top down in 100% babyllama wool with two strands of yarn held together.

The knitting pattern for 'Sille' is based on Aiayu Yarn. If you buy a minimum of 8 pieces of yarn, the pattern is free and you receive a complimentary yarn bag for your new knitting kit. If you buy less than 8, the pattern costs EUR 6.

The Sille slipover is designed to have approx. 6-10 cm [2¼-4 inches] of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be 6-10 cm [2¼-4 inches] larger in circumference than your bust measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) are designed to fit a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) cm [31½-33½ (33½-35½) 35½-37½ (37½-39½) 39½-43¼ (43¼-47¼) 47¼-51¼ (51¼-55) inches]. The measurements for the finished garment are on the front page of the pattern. Before beginning your project, measure yourself to determine which size to knit. For example, if you measure 90 cm [35½ inches] around your bust (or around the widest part of your upper body) you should knit a size S. A size S slipover has a bust circumference of 96 cm [37¾ inches], which in the given example would give you 6 cm [4 inches] of positive ease. If you would like a more oversize fit, knit a size larger.

The babyllama wool is our signature wool and has exceptional properties: it is both very durable, pill-resistant, hypo-allergenic, self-cleaning, and extremely effective at insulation. A true natural wonder.

Washing is not always necessary and it is hard on your garment and on the environment. Baby llama wool is a self cleaning fiber that requires less washing than other materials. To save resources, simply air your garment for a fresh start. However, if you do wish to wash your garment, we recommend hand wash, 30 degrees, using high quality liquid wool soap (Eucalan or Sonett). Let the garment soak in water for 10-15 min. Rinse in 30 degree water. Avoid twisting, pressing or squeezing the water out and let the garment dry flat. Steam on medium temperature for a nice finish.

If you have a very gentle washing machine it is possible to wash your Aiayu garment in the machine on a wool program 30 degrees, low cycle. However washing in the machine is at ones own risk, as we cannot guarantee the individual program settings on washing machines.
