How to get your aiayu oilskin re-proofed
Location: You can drop off at all our Flagship stores. Excluding our CPH airport store.
Cost: EUR 105
Process: Drop your item off in-store with a staff member for re-proofing. You'll be informed when your garment is ready for pick-up.
Service availability: Our repair service is currently available within the European Union only. We’re unfortunately not able to offer repairs for items sent from outside the EU at this time.
Steps:
- Purchase your reproofing-service online here.
- Once you have purchased your reproofing-service, please email webshop@aiayu.com to receive your shipping label. Remember to include the order number for the service you have just purchased.
- Print your reproofing-service order confirmation and place it inside the parcel together with your item. Use the shipping label you receive by email from our return portal.
- Drop off your parcel at your nearest parcel shop.
- Once your item has been carefully reproofed, we’ll return it to you and send you an email with the tracking information.
Make sure your oilskin is clean before handing it in - any dirt or odour will be sealed in with the new finish.

Repair service
Prolonging the life of textiles through proper care and repair, rather than replacement, is one of the most efficient ways to reduce the textile industry's environmental impact and preserve natural resources. When done correctly, a good repair can breathe new life into an item and shift perception that tears, holes, and other imperfections diminish the value of finely crafted pieces.
aiayu’s in-house repair specialists are experts in handling natural materials and offer you the opportunity to hand in or send any aiayu piece in need of repair.

- Clearly mark the area that needs repair, and feel free to include a short note with any details you’d like us to know.
- Print your repair service order confirmation and place it inside the parcel together with your item. Use the shipping label you receive by email from our return portal.
- Drop off your parcel at your nearest parcel shop.
- Once your item has been carefully repaired, we’ll return it to you and send you an email with the tracking information.
Yarn matching: We aim to match the yarn closely, but some repairs
may be visible.
Cleanliness: Ensure the item is clean before handing it in.
Unclean items will be returned at your expense.
Damage assessment: Some damage may not be repairable. Email photos of the item before shipping to ensure it can be repaired. Damage caused by moths for instance is something we are unable to repair to protect the surroundings of our store.
