Helen Aiayu Clutch

A true Aiayu essential, our handknit HELEN clutch is made with love in Bolivia from the softest llama wool. This handcrafted piece features a beautiful bubble knit pattern with a contrasting crochet border along either side of the zip closure, and an embroidered Aiayu logo on the side. The sturdy gold zipper has an Aiayu logo pull-tag as an extra touch, a soft cotton lining inside, and an interior zipper compartment to keep you organized.

The handmade Helen clutch is embellished with the embroidered initials of the woman who knitted it and carries her spirit and traditional craftsmanship.

100% llama wool of the finest selection.  Our llama wool is sourced & refined locally in Bolivia in a WRAP certified factory that cleans and reuses its wastewater, and uses renewable energy.

The llama wool is exceptionally durable, pill-resistant, hypo-allergenic, self-cleaning, and extremely effective at insulation. A true natural wonder.

Washing is hard on your garment and on the environment. Luckily, llama wool is a self-cleaning fiber that requires less washing than other materials. Try simply airing your garment for a fresh start.

If you do need to wash your garment, we recommend hand wash, 30 degrees, using high quality wool soap. Let the garment soak in water for 10-15 min. Rinse in 30 degree water. Avoid twisting, pressing or squeezing the water out, and let the garment dry flat.

If you have a very gentle washing machine it is possible to wash your Aiayu garment in the machine on a wool program 30 degrees, low cycle. However, washing in the machine is at one’s own risk, as we cannot guarantee the individual settings on washing machines.
